Founder and Director of Andes Energy Consulting.  Previously, Director of Exploration and Development for Tecpetrol.  Managed the subsurface reservoir team responsible for the development of the most successful unconventional gas project outside North America (Fortín de Piedra, Argentina).  Previously, Director of Geology – Repsol, Madrid, leading a group of 70 professionals that provided operational and technical support to the worldwide exploratory activities of the company that resulted in the discovery of over 2.5 Bbbls. of oil.  From 1999 to 2005, Vice-President Exploration and Business Development– Hocol S.A, Bogota; General Manager of Exploration and Development – Benton Oil & Gas Co, Carpinteria, CA, USA, Exploration Coordinator, Latin America - Enron Oil & Gas International.  Senior Team Interpreter (NAM- Shell) Senior Geologist, Pecten.

Dr. Macellari has a Licenciado en Geología degree from the University of La Plata, Argentina, and an Ms and PhD from The Ohio State University, USA.  He has published more than 40 papers, and has been guest lecturer in numerous international forums, lately on topics of Vaca Muerta prospectivity and on Superbasins.  He has lectured several courses in the USA, Colombia, Spain and Argentina, and is the founder of the Journal of South American Earth Sciences.  He is currently professor of the postgraduate career "Specialization in Geosciences of exploration and development of hydrocarbons" of the University of La Plata.
